How to choose and care for eyebrow brushes

How to properly wash your brushes after dyeing your eyebrows with dye or henna?

After you have finished the staining process and you do not need a brush, it is recommended that you wash it immediately, or at least soak it in a glass of water. Thus, the coloring product, henna or dye will not dry out the pile.

You need to wash the brush with soap and only in the direction of the pile. If you make circular movements in the palm of your hand, the brush will loosen and deteriorate from such physical impact. After the brush is thoroughly washed and clean water comes out of it when lightly squeezed, you can leave the brush to dry on a napkin or towel.

What to do with eyebrow brushes? It is necessary to process a clean and almost dry brush every 2-3 weeks. This can be done using 0.05% chlorhexidine or a special disinfectant solution for brushes. The main thing is that there is no alcohol in the composition, because it dries and spoils the pile.

How to use a brush correctly during working with henna and dye? Mix dye with oxide, and henna with water with a separate spatula, brush or mixer. Definitely not the brush you use to create the shape.

On the site beautymaster.com.ua you can find the perfect brush in any price range.

When you choose an eyebrow brush, rely on the same principles as when you choose other makeup instruments:

    1. Stiffness and pile length. Brushes differ greatly in their characteristics depending on the manufacturer, and this can be used to solve different tasks. So, with a stiff synthetic pile you can quickly and precisely apply the dye and create clean, neat lines. Such material usually lasts for a very long time, rarely falls out and is easily cleaned. The stiff pile allows you to apply the product in a thick layer and simultaneously comb all the hair. Soft brushes are suitable for lighter and shaded make-up, when there is no need to create saturated color or clear lines.

    2. Handle material. Here you should rely only on personal feelings, because someone is more comfortable with wooden, and someone is more comfortable with plastic brushes. However, it should be noted that too thin or, on the opposite side, too thick handle is most likely uncomfortable.

    3. The origin of the pile — natural or synthetic. Despite all the advantages of natural brushes and their popularity, it is better to choose high-quality synthetic pile for dyeing eyebrows. In practice, it significantly wins, because it lasts longer, is insensitive to the effects of dyes, and is also washed off without difficulty, because it doesn't absorb the components of cosmetics. It is also the best option for people with allergic reactions.

    4. The width of the brush head. Here it is worth starting from the features of your eyebrows if they are thin, it will be quite difficult to achieve even and clear coloring with a wide centimeter brush. Without a doubt, if you get used to this, it is quite possible, but it is much more convenient if the brush is as close to the width of the eyebrows as possible, so the brow-masters usually have a full set of them.

    5. Cleaning brushes. When you choose brushes, you should take care of cleaning them right away. You can wash your brushes with warm water and a mild detergent after work, or use a special brush cleaner. A mild detergent specially formulated to disinfect cosmetic brushes. The instrument effectively washes away all textures without overdrying the pile. Ideal for synthetic and natural brushes.
